Privacy policy
This site collects the bare minimum. It uses no cookies, loads no tracking tools and contacts no third-party services while you browse. Below you will find, point by point, what really happens.
This is a translation of the Italian privacy policy. If the two versions differ, the Italian one prevails.
1.Controller

This is my personal website. POWERB (my sole proprietorship) and POWERB SAGL (a Swiss limited liability company that I own) are separate entities, each with its own website and privacy policy. POWERB SAGL runs, on my behalf, the servers of this website and of the contact management tool (see 5).

2.Personal data processed
2.1 Browsing
Like every website, the server that hosts it logs technical requests: IP address, date and time, requested page, browser type. They serve the operation and security of the server: I do not use them to identify you or for statistics. They are kept for as long as the security of the server requires, then deleted automatically.
2.2 Data you give me
The contact form asks for your name, email, company (optional), topic and message. I use them only to reply to you: you will not receive newsletters or promotional emails unless you sign up yourself on the product websites.
When you submit the form, your browser sends this data directly to Mautic, the contact management tool hosted at go.powerb.swiss. It is the marketing server shared by my businesses, run by POWERB SAGL, which processes this data on my behalf. Together with the form data, Mautic records the IP address you send it from and the page you write from. From there I receive an email notification.
Book Club. Readers who complete the book game can join the Club by leaving their name and email in the game terminal, with explicit consent. Together with this data comes a code proving that the game was completed. The data goes to the same contact tool (Mautic, run by POWERB SAGL), in a separate list, and is used only to send you the preview chapter and the surprise promised to those who complete the game. No newsletter.
2.3 Tools that run only in your browser
Some parts of the site are interactive, but all computation happens on your device and nothing is sent. That is why I do not ask for any consent:
- Browser fingerprint: reads your browser's language, time zone, screen, number of processors and similar details, and shows them to you. None of this data leaves the page, and it disappears when you close it.
- Password generator: uses the browser's cryptographic random generator. Passwords are neither stored nor sent. ‘Copy’ puts them on your device's clipboard only when you press it.
- Chess puzzles (‘Find the move’ and ‘Today's puzzle’): the rules run in the browser and the puzzles come from a file on this site, taken from the free Lichess database. The site does not contact Lichess and I do not receive your moves. If you solve today's puzzle, the browser remembers your streak (see 3).
- Animations and the collection of reflections: no data collected.
- The book game (the terminal the binary code on the cover leads to): answers are checked in your browser, by trying to decrypt the next level. They are neither sent nor recorded anywhere. Only if, at the end, you choose to join the Club are your name and email sent (see 2.2).
2.4 Customer data
This is a personal presentation website: it does not host customer data. The companies and products mentioned (POWERB, POWERB SAGL, FILEFORT, DESKUM, KEYBOKY and the others) have their own websites and privacy policies.
3.Cookies and tracking
The site uses no cookies and loads no statistics, advertising or social media tools. That is why there is no cookie banner.
It stores at most three items in your browser's memory (localStorage):

They stay on your device, are never transmitted and do not identify you. They are strictly necessary for functions you choose to use, so no consent is required.
The fonts are hosted on the site itself: your browser does not contact Google Fonts or any other external service.

5.Recipients
I do not sell your data or pass it on to third parties. Messages from the form are seen by me and by the POWERB and POWERB SAGL staff who help me reply. POWERB SAGL, my company, technically runs the servers of the site and of the contact tool.
6.Location and transfers
The site and the contact tool are hosted in Switzerland (currently: servers in the canton of Zurich, backups in the canton of Bern). The data does not leave Switzerland. If the location changes, this policy will be updated.
While you browse, the site transfers no data to anyone, because it loads no third-party resources.
Links to other websites (the products, the blog, the book, the free tools, LinkedIn) take you to pages with their own policies: from there, their rules apply.
7.Retention

8.Security
The site is static: it has no database, no restricted area and runs no server-side code for its pages. The interactive tools collect no data (see 2.3). Pages load only over HTTPS, and the server tells the browser not to run scripts that do not come from the site itself.
In the event of a data security breach that poses a high risk to you, I will inform the supervisory authority and, where the law requires it, you as well.
9.Your rights
You can ask at any time to know what data I hold about you, to have it corrected or deleted, to receive it in a structured, commonly used, machine-readable format, to restrict its processing or to object, and you can withdraw any consent given. Write to me through the contact form or at the address on the legal notice page: I reply within the time limits set by law (normally 30 days).
10.Complaints
In Switzerland you can contact the Federal Data Protection and Information Commissioner (FDPIC), edoeb.admin.ch. If you live or work in the European Economic Area, you can also contact the supervisory authority in your country; in the United Kingdom, the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO).
11.Changes to this policy
I update it when the way the site processes data changes, for example when I add a tool. The date at the top changes only when the text changes.
